With the aim of maintaining and improving industrial activity in the face of the environmental, social and economic concerns that mark the United Nations Global Goals, Grup Boix has set Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to integrate actions that contribute to the sustainable development of the company and the territory.
Approved by the General Assembly of the United Nations on 25 September 2015, the United Nations Global Goals is the global roadmap for progress in terms of sustainability. Through 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the Global Goals aims to stimulate action in 5 areas of critical importance in the 2030 timeframe: people, planet, prosperity, peace and partnership.
In this sense, Grup Boix has set 8 objectives that strategically help to promote the sustainable action set out in the United Nations Global Goals. Lorena Grados, SDG and CSR consultant, has led, through PIMEC, the training in sustainability and Sustainable Development Goals at the company from Bergues, giving theoretical sessions adapted to all the internal groups of the organisation.
